Thermostat

1. Overview

This is a quick start guide for a specific configuration.
It is useful for a quick learning curve of the WE110 basic functionalities and for its immediate use.
This document does not cover all the WE110 functionalities. In case of doubts, clarifications or details, please refer to the complete guide:
Manual for thermostat and generic control
Below are explained the instructions to configure the WE110 as a thermostat.
This configuration will permit to the WE110 to turning ON and OFF a boiler to keep the temperature at 24°C.
An SMS will be sent every time that WE110 will turn ON or OFF the boiler. An antifreeze alarm will be sent through an SMS if the temperature drops under 15°C.
The WE110 will be programmed with a hystereis on the threshold (-2° and +2°C) to avoid the repetitive sending of SMS and continuous switching on and off.

3. Programming

3.1 Mobile app for Andorid

Note

The application works through the SMS, so the profiles of the various registered devices are not update automatically.
It is important to send the data update command to have a consistent state of the devices.
When WE110 receives an SMS its blue LED blinks for about 1 second.

3.1.1 Base configuration

Device profile creation

  1. Press the New profile button.
  2. Select the WE110 black edition.
  3. Select the English language.
  4. Select the Thermostat mode.
  5. Set the device name as Thermostat and its phone number for example +390000000001.
    Save the configuration.

Note

The number +390000000001 it is only indicative for the format to be used.
Enter the correct SIM number in order for the device to work properly.

Device configuration

  1. Click the new icon that it was created in the main page of the application.
  2. Update the device configuration.
    To get the updated configuration, the update command must be sent since the app works through SMS and can not update itself automatically.
  3. Press the thermostat switch to enable it.
  4. Set the threshold at 24°C with the scroll bar.
  5. Send the new configuration to the WE110.

Now the WE110 is already working in thermostat mode and it will keep the temperature at 24°C.
These steps are sufficient for a simple configuration.
The following steps are useful for a complete configuration.

3.1.2 Advanced Configuration

Further pages are used to obtain a more detailed configuration

  1. Open the Thermostat menu pressing the option button or dragging a finger from left to right on the screen.
  2. Select the System option.
  3. Update the device settings.
    To get the updated configuration it must be send the update command because the app works through SMS and can not update itself automatically.
  4. Press the Advanced Settings button.
  5. Set the Service center with the number +390000000002 and send the data.

Note

The number +390000000002 it is only indicative for the format to be used.
Enter the correct service center number in order for the device to work properly.

  1. Come back and open the thermostat menu.
  2. Enter in the Settings page.
  3. Set the following fields:
    • Hysteresis: 2
    • Offset: 0
    • Delay: 60
    • Antifreeze threshold: 15°C
    • Message: Antifreeze alarm
  4. Then send the data.

  1. Come back to the main page.
  2. Activate the Antifreeze alarm and send the data.

The WE110 is now configured as explained at the top of this guide.

3.2 Mobile app for iOS

Note

The application works through the SMS, so the profiles of the various registered devices are not update automatically.
It is important to send the update data command to have a consistent state of the devices.
This application helps to create the SMS to send to the WE120 in a quickly and easily way.
Sending and receiving SMS are manged by the system for privacy reasons.
When WE110 receives an SMS its blue LED blinks for about 1 second.

3.4.1 Profile Configuration

Device profile creation

  1. Press the New profile button.
  2. Fill all fields as below:
    • Name: termostato
    • Device number: +390000000081
    • Hardware version: black edition
    • Software version: EN
    • Mode: thermostat
  3. Save the configuration.

Note

The number +390000000002 it is only indicative for the format to be used.
Enter the correct SIM number in order for the device to work properly.

3.4.2 Base Configuration

Device configuration

  1. Open the Thermostat menu by dragging a finger from left to right on the screen.
  2. Select Thermostat.
  3. Fill the fields as below:
    • Thermostat: enabled
    • Threshold: 24°C
  4. Send the configuration.

Now the WE110 is already working in thermostat mode and it will keep the temperature at 24°C.
These steps are sufficient for a simple configuration.
The following steps are useful for a complete configuration.

3.4.3 Advanced Configuration

Further pages are used to obtain a more detailed configuration


Service center

  1. Drag a finger from left to to right on the screen.
  2. Select System.
  3. Set the service center number as +390000000082.
  4. Send the configuration.

Note

The number +390000000082 it is only indicative for the format to be used.
Enter the correct service center number in order for the device to work properly.

Settings

  1. Drag a finger from left to to right on the screen.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Fill the fields as below:
    • Offset: 0
    • Hysteresis: 2
    • Delay: 60
  4. Send the configuration.
    • Antifreeze: 15°C
    • Message: Antifreeze alarm
  5. Send the configuration.

Antifreeze

  1. Drag a finger from left to to right on the screen.
  2. Select Thermostat.
  3. Enable Antifreeze.
  4. Send the configuration

The WE110 is now configured as explained at the top of this guide.

3.3 SMS Commands

The following command will result in the same configuration made with the mobile application.

3.3.1 Base Configuration

Set the threshold

Threshold
Set the thermostat threshold:
ON 24
Now the WE110 is already working in thermostat mode and it will keep the temperature at 24°C.
These steps are sufficient for a simple configuration.

3.3.2 Advanced Configuration

Further commands are used to obtain a more detailed configuration

Service Center
Configure the service center:
CENTER +390000000004

Note

The number +390000000004 it is only indicative for the format to be used.
Enter the correct service center number in order for the device to work properly.
Antifreeze
Set the atrifreeze alarm and enable it:
ANTIFREEZE 15 Antifreeze alarm

GELO ON
Settings
Set the mode, offset, delay and hysteresis:
SET 1 0 60 2
