Gate opener

1. Overview

This is a quick start guide for a specific configuration.
It is useful for a quick learning curve of the WE110 basic functionalities and for its immediate use.
This document does not cover all the WE110 functionalities. In case of doubts, clarifications or details, please refer to the complete guide:

Below are explained the instructions for a sample WE110 in the gate opener mode:
Ringing the WE110 will open the connected gate.

3. Programming

3.1 Mobile app for Andorid

Note

The application works through the use of SMS, therefore the profiles of the various registered devices are not updated automatically.
It is important to send the data update command to have a consistent state of the devices.
When WE110 receives an SMS, its blue LED blinks for about 1 second.

3.1.1 Profile configuration

Device profile creation

  1. Press the New profile button.
  2. Select the WE110 black edition.
  3. Select the English language.
  4. Select the Gate Opener mode.
  5. Set the device name and its phone number. For example, GateOpener and +390000000001, respectively.
    Save the configuration.

Note

The number +390000000001 is only indicative for the format to be used.
Enter the correct SIM number in order for the device to work properly.

3.1.2 Administrator Configuration

Set the administrator

  1. Confirm that the current user is the administrator.
  2. Set 0000 in the password field.
    Set +390000000002 as the administrator phone number.
    Save the data by pressing the Next button.
  3. Confirm the association of the telephone number as administrator.
  4. Confirm that the SMS will be sent.
  5. Wait the sent message notification.

Note

The number +390000000002 is only indicative for the format to be used.
Enter the correct phone number in order for the device to work properly.

3.1.3 Utilization

Device utilization

At this point the device can be used to open the gate by selecting the gate opener from the menu and pressing the key button.

3.2 Mobile app for iOS

Note

The application functions through the use of SMS, so the profiles of the various registered devices are not update automatically.
It is important to send the data update command to have a consistent state of the devices.
This application helps to create the SMS to send to the WE110 in a quickly and easily way.
Sending and receiving SMS are managed directly by iOS for privacy/security reasons.
When WE110 receives an SMS its blue LED blinks for about 1 seconds.

3.2.1 Profile Configuration

Profile creation

  1. Press the New profile button.
  2. Fill all fields as below:
    • Name: GateOpener
    • Phone number: +390000000071
    • Hardware version: black edition
    • Software version: EN
    • Mode: Gate Opener
    • Set as adminsitrator: enable
    • Administrator phone number: +390000000072
    • Password: 0000
  3. Save the settings.

Note

The number +390000000071 is only indicative for the format to be used.
Enter the correct SIM number in order for the device to work properly.

3.2.2 Settings Configuration

Set the remaining parameters

  1. Open the menu by dragging a finger from left to right on the screen.
  2. Select the Settings option.
  3. Fill the fields as below:
    • Sends SMS when the digital input state changes: enable
    • Send the configuration.

    • Pulse duration: 2
    • Send the configuration.

  1. Open the menu by dragging a finger from left to right on the screen.
  2. Select the System option.
    • Service center: +390000000073
    • Send the configuration.

The number +390000000073 is only indicative for the format to be used.
Enter the correct service center number in order for the device to work properly.

3.2.3 Utilization

At this point the device can open the gate by selecting the gate opener from the menu and pressing the key button.

  1. Open the menu by dragging a finger from left to right on the screen.
  2. Select the Gate Opener option.
  3. Press the Open button.

3.3 SMS Commands

The following commands give the same results as with the mobile application.

Note

When WE110 receives a SMS its blue LED blinks for about 1 second.
Administrator
Set the administrator phone number:
ADMIN +390000000002

Service Center
Configure the service center:
CENTER +390000000004

The number +390000000004 is only indicative for the format to be used.
Enter the correct service center number in order for the device to work properly.


Alarm
Sends an SMS when the digital input state changes:
ALARM ON
(To disable this functionality send the command: ALARM OFF)

Pulse
Set the pulse duration to 2 seconds for the digital output:
PULSE 2


Accessibility
Exclude the possibility of using the device to unregistered users:
ALL OFF

Users
Insert 3 new base users:
NEW +390000000004 +390000000005 +390000000006

Password
Change the administrator password to 1234:
PASS 000 1234
